ways to Use

TODDLER (AGE 1-2)

Small Object Posting: Give the child small, safe objects (like beads, buttons, or small toys) to place inside the circles of the hundred board. The goal is for the toddler to practice picking up and positioning objects, which helps improve coordination and grip.

Object Sorting: Use different colored or shaped objects and encourage the child to place them randomly across the board. This familiarizes them with the concept of position, as they start understanding that each object has a space (for example, one color for each row).

Ways to use

TODDLER (AGE 2-3)

Object and Number Matching: Place number tiles on the board and ask the child to place a corresponding number of small objects into the matching positions. For example, if you place the number "3," they should put 3 objects into 3 positions on the board.

Basic Position Games: Encourage simple spatial games like “Can you place an object in this corner?” or “Let’s put 10 objects in a row.” This can also introduce concepts like rows and columns in a very basic form.

Introduction to Numbers and Patterns

TODDLER (AGE 3-4)

Counting Practice: Begin by counting from 1 to 10 or 1 to 20, depending on the child's ability.

Number Placement: Start with placing tiles in order from 1 to 10, gradually increasing to 20, then 100 as their confidence grows.

Recognizing Patterns: Encourage children to notice patterns (for example, numbers ending in 5 or 0).

Simple Games: Ask the child to find specific numbers, like 5, 10, or 15.

Counting and Sequencing

LITTLE KID (AGE 4-5)

Complete the Board: Children can begin placing tiles in order from 1 to 100.

Skip Counting: Introduce skip counting by 2s, 5s, and 10s. For example, place the tiles for 5, 10, 15, 20, and so on.

Missing Numbers: Remove some numbers from the board and ask the child to fill in the blanks.

Reinforce Counting Skills: Let them practice counting aloud as they place each tile.

Mathematical Exploration

LITTLE KID (AGE 5-6)

Addition and Subtraction: Use the board to visualize simple addition or subtraction. For example, show 7 + 3 by starting at 7 and counting 3 more spaces.

Exploring Number Sequences: Work with even/odd numbers or multiples of specific numbers (for example, multiples of 3 or 4).

Creating Patterns: Encourage children to create their own number patterns or sequences.

Advanced Problem Solving

BIG KID (AGE 6+)

Multiplication Practice: Show the child how multiplication works by placing multiples on the board. For instance, use the tiles to show multiples of 6 (6, 12, 18, etc.).

Division: Demonstrate division by breaking groups into smaller sets (for example, finding how many 5s fit into 25).

Age 6+: Introducing the 99 Names of Allah

Names Exploration: Begin by introducing the child to the names on the board. Allow them to examine the tiles and read or recite the names. Discuss a few names daily, explaining their meanings and significance.

Tile Placement: Let the child place the tiles with the names of Allah in the correct position on the board. This can be done randomly or in order, depending on the child’s familiarity with the names.

Memory Game: As the child becomes more familiar with the names, remove a few tiles from the board and ask the child to remember and replace the missing names. This strengthens memory and focus.

    Age 7+: Understanding and Memorization

Name Memorization: Use the tiles to help the child memorize the 99 names. Focus on a few names each day, having the child recite them as they place the tiles on the board.

Matching Names with Meanings: On separate cards, write the meanings of the 99 names of Allah. Encourage the child to match the meanings with the corresponding names on the board, reinforcing comprehension.

Groupings and Themes: Encourage the child to group the names by themes, such as those related to mercy, power, or knowledge. This helps the child to connect the names with their attributes and fosters a deeper understanding of Allah’s qualities.

Age 8+: Integration into Daily Reflection

Daily Reflection: Encourage the child to choose one of the names of Allah from the board each day and reflect on its meaning in their life. For example, they might choose "Ar-Rahman" (The Merciful) and think about how they can show mercy to others that day.

Reciting the Names: Challenge the child to recite as many of the 99 names as they can from memory while placing the tiles on the board.

Creative Expression: Ask the child to draw or write about how they understand one of Allah’s names. For example, they might draw something that represents "Al-Khaliq" (The Creator) and place the corresponding tile on the board.
